Gerlinde's work is about volume, structure and texture. Her Duotex range explores different textures and finishes in metal. Gerlinde has developed an etching technique that allows her to create an intricate pattern of fine lines into a tactile surface pattern. The additional shiny, satinised and oxidised surfaces create an intriguing play on dark and light and enhance her simple but strong shapes.
